For many of us, if over a certain age, Las Vegas conjures up images of The Rat Pack tuxedoed up at The Sands, others immediately see Elvis straining the seams of a rhinestone studded jumpsuit. Personally, we can’t help but love them both. However Las Vegas today bears little resemblance to either of those eras. Pacific Northwest Seafoodapalooza
Nothing draws us GypsyNesters to an event like sticking the word “Fest” on the end of it. Like moths to flame, kids to candy, cats to a catbox or flies to…. windshields (what did you think we were gonna say?) we’re there in a heartbeat.

We were downright giddy with excitement to hit Washington State just in time for Salmon Fest AND Crab Fest. As we ventured into the Pacific Northwest, the salmon were running upstream with their insane, unstoppable urge to spawn. The horniest teenager ever has nothing on these swimming sex fiends.

Bling Me Back to Graceland

We were married on Elvis’ birthday. Hold on there big fellah, it was just a coincidence. I didn’t even realize it until I woke up in a champagne haze, with the TV still blaring on my wedding night. I knew the Fates had conspired when I half-opened one eye and saw there on the news, thousands of fans lined up to worship outside the gates at the temple of Elvis, Graceland.
